HERstory 🦋
Where was I?
All the silk needed was something to keep it in place from being blown away, to keep gnats, butterflies, and lips of other humans out of a beverage, YOUR beverage. THUS!
Details by Oksana is a one-woman-owned "show" based out of Sunny Los Angeles, CA. Life can feel like a traveling circus, at time, which makes downtime in my boudoir with my thought, emotions, and myself, important. I value quality, which comes at different price points.Targét can & does surprise you,. After scouting high and low available products on the market, I turn to it time and time again. This year I bought a line trench for FIFTY.FIVE.DOLLARS! I mean, I bought one in every color. With quality of clothing becoming so low, I stock up for the future, when I find affordable quality.
My journey begins in Communist Russia, from which my parents immigrated in 1992. There, I graduated with a degree from School of Commerce. There we studied, literally studied, how merchandise is made. Those "War and Peace" size clothing tags we see sewn into garments these days {"hot tea is hot!"}, well, we were required to know that information by heart. We were required to understand the textile printing methods to recommend proper care before a shopper decided to take an item home. The care symbols, the fiber a material was made from, how textile was woven, the metals, ribbons, "etc, etc, etc", all by heart. I learned to discern silk from cotton from linen, leather from pleather from suede, purely by touch and sight. Identifying textiles and materials fascinated me and became second nature to me.
A lot of time has passed since, but my knowledge and experience remain, guiding my choices in selecting high-quality materials for my collections. Every Glass Veil™ is skillfully hand-stitched by me, a Graphic Designer with affinity for crafts. You may have seen my work on WE TV ~ "My Fair Wedding" with David Tutera Show ~ and eHarmony Blog. Each adornment, be it genuine gemstones, exquisite glass cube beads, or whimsical charms, every yard of mulberry silk, passes through my hands and is seen by my eyes.
