WE PROMOTE WASTE REDUCTION

We recycle everything from batteries to furniture, whenever possible.

There is not much waste left at the end of making each and every Glass Veil TM – just snipped threads and uneven ends of silk fabrics.

WE WORK TOWARDS LOWER OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

I buy organic, local foods in bulk that are in season, by using my own reusable container. This allows me to plan my meals ahead of time, by freezing and reusing leftovers.

My closet its my investment – I avoid fact fashions, which fall apart quickly; instead, I buy pieces of clothes that last longer and I care for them as if they are my kids. Washing clothes in cold water was strange at first, but knowing that the enzymes in cold water detergent are designed to clean better in cold water makes me confident in doing the right thing for the one planet we have.

In my household, reusable bags have a special place, where I keep them folded, awaiting for me to pull them whenever needed.

Those incandescent light bulbs are odd looking, but I don’t miss changing them as often 🙂

Switching lights off when leaving the room, not waisting food, and unplugging electronic devices when they are not in use is something Russian kids of my generation were programmed to do. I guess we were ahead of our time. Needless to say, I don’t use heater – it drys out my skin. Besides, it is best to sleep in a cooler space at night for better body performance the next day.

I never learned to ride a bike as a child, so, these days I take great care of my car. There is an electric or hybrid vehicle in my future … electric, most likely.

When doing errands, I at least combine them in to bunches of 3-5, to reduce driving.

Pandemic did its part in reducing how much we fly, but even before it, I was flying nonstop, as it keeps my sanity in check.

Our brown boxes, tissue papers, and burgundy twine are 100% recyclable.

Feel free to send us a note on how else we could reduce carbon footprint.
